Happy Valentine's Day - Feb 14 and when?

I'm sure all of you are aware of the February 14 being Valentine's Day. Today itself is another interesting date for Chinese worldwide as it's the Chinese Valentine's Day. This is the 15th day of the chinese new year (lunar new year changes each year depending on the lunar calendar).

For me, it is also ultra special because it marks the first year anniversary of my Hong Kong wedding (which was Mar 4, 2007 and in chinese calendar it's the 15th day of the chinese new year)

If you have not enjoyed a proper western valentine's day last week, take this last chance to tell your loved one how much you appreciate him or her. For sure, the prices of the flowers are way lower this time!

Happy Valentine's Day ! And if you need to say that out in Chinese, here are the 2 simple ways to say i love you.
- mandarin (used in China, and Taiwan) it's "wo ai ni"
- cantonese (used in Hong Kong), it's "ngo oi lei"
